## The round and backers

Mayfield returned for the second financing after leading the $32 million first seed round, announced June 24, 2026\. Aramco Ventures also participated. Individual backers include Intel CEO Lip-Bu Tan, Micron CEO Sanjay Mehrotra and Yahoo co-founder Jerry Yang, who joined Hang Ten's board.

Sikka [declined to disclose the valuation](https://techcrunch.com/2026/09/16/former-infosys-chiefs-ai-startup-adds-50m-to-seed-weeks-after-initial-raise/?ref=implicator.ai) but said the second round was priced higher than the first. Xora approached Hang Ten after early customer wins, he said. The company plans to use the money to expand its engineering, consulting and sales teams.

As of Sept. 16, Hang Ten employed about 20 to 25 people across the U.S., the Middle East and Australia, with hiring planned in Europe and India.

## The delivery pitch

“The build part itself has basically become close to zero marginal cost, close to zero time,” Sikka said. Hang Ten's in-house framework, Hobie, packages reusable AI skills for regulated industries and complex software projects. Co-founder and chief design officer Sanjay Rajagopalan said, “We are actually delivering production software.”

Some projects use teams of two to four people on assignments that might once have required about 30, though customers or independent third parties still conduct final quality checks and certification. Hang Ten promises a 10-fold improvement in cost, speed or both. Its services include software development, finance analytics, enterprise migrations and human resources.

Its named customers include Fresenius Kabi, Saudi Aramco and Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy, a Siemens Energy unit. Siemens Gamesa CEO Vinod Philip said the company delivered “with a quality and speed that genuinely impressed us,” prompting the customer to widen the scope of the work. Work was already under way on several projects and completed on a few as of the funding announcement.

Sikka said Hang Ten signed a multimillion-dollar contract for a mission-critical system within 25 days of its first meeting with that customer. Its count of 21 major enterprises includes existing customers and late-stage prospects, with some still at the proposal or contract-negotiation stage.

## The limits and competition

The pipeline and contract figures are Hang Ten's own account. The company has not disclosed revenue, its valuation or the value of individual contracts.

Sikka said many Hang Ten engagements replace incumbent providers, while more than half of its current opportunities are projects companies had shelved. He also said Hang Ten had turned down acquisition offers from unnamed “very big companies.”

8090 Labs announced a $135 million Series A led by Salesforce Ventures on June 29, 2026\. Accenture and Google Cloud [formed a Gemini Enterprise business group](https://channeldive.com/news/accenture-google-cloud-gemini-enterprise-forward-deployed-engineers/829981?ref=implicator.ai) on Sept. 8, 2026, aiming for 1,000 forward-deployed engineers inside Accenture's Google Business Group, which has nearly 50,000 professionals trained in Google technology.

“Enterprises still need trusted partners who are independent of the underlying platform and who work with and solely in the interest of the enterprise,” Sikka said.
