YouTube Ships AI Editing and Microdrama Tools to Keep Creators From Netflix
YouTube rolled out AI editing, Shorts series and live dubbing at Made on YouTube as Netflix signs its top creators, and warned that splitting shows can cost brand deals.

Rhett McLaughlin and Link Neal built “Good Mythical Morning” around conversations they knew could run 15 to 20 minutes without editing. The pair started with rap battles and stunt videos, then turned a weekday show about strange foods, experiments and games into a Burbank production business. This month, they placed the same episodes on Netflix while keeping them on the platform where the show began.
YouTube’s answer arrived Wednesday: software for creators and a warning about divided loyalties.
