Anthropic began rolling out voice mode for Claude Code on Tuesday, letting developers speak commands directly into the company's AI coding assistant instead of typing them. The feature uses a push-to-talk interface, activated by holding the spacebar, and transcribes speech at the cursor position in real time. Engineer Thariq Shihipar announced the gradual release on X, confirming that roughly 5% of users have access now, with wider availability coming over the next several weeks.
