Singapore Survey Finds 58% Hesitant to Let AI Agents Make Purchases

Fifty-eight percent of Singapore consumers hesitated to let an AI agent transact for them in coverage of an Adyen retail survey. The Adyen study, fielded from March through April 2026, covered 1,041 consumers and distinguished help from chatbots and shopping platforms from software making a purchase. That gap puts payment authorization, spending limits and the ability to stop a transaction at the center of efforts to turn AI shopping tools into buyers.
