The Decision Brief

Your developers probably run more than one coding agent, and Claude Code, Codex, Google's Antigravity and Meta's Muse Code all now install plugins that run with the developer's privileges and add tokens to sessions. Which ones should a team approve, and on what conditions?

We read Anthropic's official install counts, each vendor's plugin documentation, an independent 500-task benchmark and public accounts from developers who dropped the most popular workflow plugin. We did not install or test any plugin, and only one of the ten has an independent controlled test. One finding: in Norbert Laszlo's Codex test, Superpowers, the second-most-installed plugin in Anthropic's marketplace, added about 625,000 tokens per task for a resolution gain that was not statistically significant.

The full piece maps ten plugins against the four agents, sets out a proposed allowlist with a condition for each, and gives a pilot record for testing a planning plugin on your own tickets.

The evidence, the proposed allowlist and the pilot record are below for PRO members. View PRO plans, $10 monthly or $99 annually.
